Audio Visual Service Technician

Responsible for servicing and repairing commercial audio visual installations and equipment.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Perform day-to-day service and repair of basic to advanced commercial audio visual systems and equipment
  • Assist in technical portion of new installation project closeouts, including DSP and control system programming.
  • Perform training sessions for clients on new and existing systems
  • Will be interacting with the client, installation teams, & management on every day basis.
  • Be able to effectively interact with multiple unionized construction trades.
  • Documenting all aspects of service and repair progress.

Basic Requirements:

  • Must possess problem solving, trouble-shooting, and creative thinking skills.
  • Time management critical.
  • Note: this is a key operational position.
  • Please do not apply if you do not have verifiable experience & knowledge of the technical aspect of advanced commercial Audio Visual systems.
  • Must have a verifiable “clean” background. We regularly work in locations requiring rigorous background checks.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license; have and continue to maintain a safe driving record.

Qualifications:

  • Real commercial experience with commercial-grade audio visual equipment, products, and systems is required.
  • Prefer a formal education in electronics or a related field.  Experience with audio visual or other electro-mechanical installation techniques, or field servicing.
  • Must have DSP programming experience.  AMX or Crestron programming experience a plus.
  • Knowledge of basic network parameters for systems programming and control
  • Experience in repairing and servicing commercial audio visual installations will put you at the front of the preferred line
  • This is a professional position for those who want to be in the professional level of the Audio Visual industry.
  • Must be able to: use hand tools & test equipment; already know how to solder & crimp connections; pull cable; lift up to 75#, sometimes overhead; climb ladders / lifts to 35+ feet.
